-Humans have been putting [[rachel ulrich#|[[rachel ulrich#|garbage]]]] into the ocean untill the 1940s, which isnt fair to the animals at all. It isn't just the oceans, earth itself is awful with pollution. Everywhere you go there is garbage laying on the roads, fields, everything. Every piece of plastic ever made is still on the earth somewhere, and most of the plastic went into the oceans. Pollution is the main reason 40 percent of the rivers, and lakes are not clean enough to go fishing or [[rachel ulrich#|swimming]]. Less than one percent of the world’s oceans are protected.

If we don't do anything to help the rainforests, its estimated that if the current rate of trees getting cut down continues, then there will be no more rainforests in the year 2060. There are many groups out their trying to save the rainforests, hopefully they will find a way to save the rainforests before it is to late.

    ...
Within the last ten years, a global climate change issue has been introduced by Al Gore. This global climate change is also known as global warming. While many scientists back and support this theory, just as many don't. John Abraham of St. Thomas University in Minnesota strongly agreed with the idea of global climate change and even set up a "climate rapid response team." This team is dedicated to spreading the word about global warming and providing up to date, exclusive information about global warming. The theory of global warming implies that the world is slowly warming up dew to a series of different effects. A number of Greenhouse gases are being released into the atmosphere by humans and trapping air that would be released into space otherwise. Another effect might be the way the continents can cause global warming. The way the continents are a lined will change the wave patterns, and the wave patterns will change the temperature. The solar output also plays a part in global climate change. The sun only puts out as much as 70% of the energy it did years ago. The energy output of the sun has increased; the atmospheric composition has changed also. Orbital variations have changed. The way the sun orbits the sun has changed slightly from the past, the seasonal distribution of sunlight reaching the earth and being distributed across the globe. While many scientists support global warming, there are many who don’t believe it is true. NASA has put June pictures of the glaciers on the internet during December to make the ice look like it was melting. Some scientists believe that even if global warming is true, man has little to no effect.
Where the issue is taking place
    ...
is warming globally.across the planet. However the
What is the impact on the environment?
Global warming could having a great effect on the earth’s atmosphere as well as its physical environment. The warming would take place quickest on land. As global warming advances the sea levels are supposed to rise, the snow fall is supposed to decrease in the Northern Hemisphere. The ice would also begin to melt all around the world, especially at the poles. According to satellite altimetry, the sea levels have risen from 1.8 mm to 2.9-.3.4 in the last century. Spruce bark beetles have increased in number during the last twenty years. Moscow warned its citizens to be aware of brown bear attacks, because of the warm weather the bears can't hibernate and they become grouchy. Acid rain is associated with global warming, the acid rain is gradually destroying everything it hits. Part of global warming is pollution, witch is a big problem to society and the environment. By playing video games, watching television, using air conditioner, and riding a car people let off many greenhouse gases into the air. Every day you and so many people use a car, or watch tv, without even thinking of the effects. Everyday everybody makes garbage, the garbage that humans make is thrown into a trash can. Then a garbage truck takes it away, and we don't see it a again. After the garbage is taken away form us it is brought to a garbage transfer station, and then off to a land fill in a various state. Most land fills are to their max, because trash is just streaming in from everywhere. Its been reported that New York spends $1 billion per year on trash and recyclables collection.
